17 year old Hadley's parents have been divorced for about a year. Hadley's father is getting married to a woman Hadley has never met before. Hadley's father lives in the UK, so Hadley has to fly to London. She misses her scheduled flight and meets a boy named Oliver in the departure area. Hadley and Oliver wait together in the airport and board the same plane. They develop a very close bond, and become unlikely friends. When she arrives in London she and Oliver get separated.
