Most of them needed different timing, and I used up all my OpenSub credits experimenting with different subtitle sources and releases. But here's what I found out: start with subtitles from a Blu-ray source. Region doesn't seem to matter, but start with a 2000ms delay and work it out from there. Typical delay range was anywhere from 500-2000ms. I don't recommend using DVD subtitles, as they can drift out of sync around the 20-minute mark even if they're synced perfectly at the beginning. It's not impossible to make DVD subtitles work, but you'll need to know how to use a subtitle editor to stretch the timestamps and make manual adjustments. I didn't want to go down that route because it would've slowed down my pipeline drastically. Technical Notes: For the best viewing experience, I highly recommend a direct HDMI connection from the GPU to an 8K TV/Screen/Projector. If you don't have access to an 8K screen, use a Plex Media Server; it will downscale to your screen's max resolution on the fly while retaining the benefits of the 8K master. Default audio is 5.1 DTS-HD MA. Subtitles are included for English SDH, French, Dutch, Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Hebrew, Spanish, Serbian, and Korean.
