# \[LUMi\] Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia This show is peak so I gave it some proper typesetting. I'm not really editing the dialogue lines or timing at all (except episode 12 which got the NFLX sub treatment from CR...). Just adding TS as needed. Can't include screenshots because they may count as spoilers, but keep in mind that this is pretty light TS. Sometimes I did masking when I had the time, but most of the time was just picking better font and blur than CR, occasionally also doing a Mocha track where needed (ep9's map scene especially). (Plus changing script resolution, adding song lyrics, and removing CR's TL credits from the endings.) (As such, unlike my VDen subs, I'd say these are unambiguously better than CR; the quality level is consistent, and the text just blends in really well. There are a few scenes that are iffy, but I imagine most TSers would struggle with those - for a show with only a few dozen signs total, it has some surprisingly complex sequences in there...) Since there are many names that use Ü/ü and Ö/ö (U and O with diaresis/umlaut), I had to patch the font (`Old Copperfield`) to include these glyphs. I did this by using FontCreator 15 and copying the base character (e.g., `o`) plus the colon character, flipping the colon on its side, then moving and resizing to get it looking decent. I'm clearly not a professional font maker but this is better than my previous solution, which was the same thing but with manually positioning a colon above the character *in Aegisub*. That got annoying so I went and modified the font instead. Notably, I did NOT modify any of the font's metrics (typo/win ascent/descent, line gap). Hopefully the font renders just fine on all platforms without the top of the diaresis getting cut off on the capital letters, but it's impossible to say. For this release especially: **please use MPV!!** Time for the bad news. I translated the songs with AI. Unfortunately I am not fluent in Japanese, and no English lyrics were available, so this was the best I could do. I got the official Japanese lyrics and put them into RomajiDesu to get the romaji lines. For the English translations, I put the official JPN lyrics into multiple LLMs & used human intuition to make it a little less rough around the edges. That being said, the ED especially has some wordplay and strange wording in general, so a properly clean translation would be difficult and certainly beyond my pay grade. No KFX/k-timing for this one because it wouldn't fit the vibes. Instead I just tried to do stuff with the color scheme, either for the sake of metaphor (ED) or to blend with the color of the credits (OP). This was my first time using muxtools so hopefully it went well. I didn't give much QC effort to the signs & songs tracks, though I did make sure that the translations still showed (during the scenes where ppl are speaking a language that is foreign even in the dub). Also this release includes subs in other languages than english, but they didn't get any TS, sry PS: I wasn't sure which video source to use for ep11. For some reason the ToonsHub DL I have for the undubbed version is 1.67 GiB whereas the dual audio version is 1.38 GiB. Could be different CR encode? IDK, but for the sake of making this mux simple, I just went with the most recent ToonsHub source, since that's probably hopefully the safest choice. I hope the BD for this show gets distributed in 12 volumes. Every episode could benefit from an entire disk's worth of bitrate to chew through. (Not that I could afford the storage.)
