> batch changes: > **1-4, 11**: video upgraded to majin > **4**: more signs added, some minor sign edits > **10**: fixed missing glyphs > **11, 12**: updated JP audio from 128kbps to 192kbps > **all**: better chapters *(modified auto_chap from SubsPlus+)* > > episode 5 is the only CBR episode, as it never got a Majin version that beat CBR. for some reason, its bitrate is only ~5.1Mbps whereas the other Majin streams are usually around ~9.9Mbps. ep5 visual comparison in case anyone is curious TS taken from the Spanish track *(a few very minor edits)*, merged with English. accompanying signs track for dub included __only the English track has been edited. the rest are untouched from Crunchyroll__ --- #### **what is this?** starting in late 2025, crunchyroll has been trying to make the switch to a new subtitling pipeline that strips away typesetting. this means on-screen text like signs, phone screens, and letters, which used to be styled to blend in better with the actual on-screen text, are now just generic, centered white text that often clutters the screen. the "Unfucked" project is where i merge the English script with typesetting from other language tracks to make it more watchable for English viewers. **this project was started in spite of these recent events, but not *all* of the shows covered by this project are strictly because of this enshittification, as i will explain below.** if i'm making these "Unfucked" versions of a show, it is because that show meets one of these criteria: - adversely affected by their arbitrary subtitle enshittification for its English subs. you can learn more about all of this here *or* - third-party/licensor-provided subtitles with no TS *(such as Aniplex-licensed shows)*. this has always been an occasional thing on CR with certain shows, and isn't really CR's fault, but rather the licensor's #### **what *isn't* this?** the Unfucked project is **NOT** meant to serve as a proper fansub *(as in, complete with lyrics translations, KFX, very advanced typesetting, TLC & extensive editing)*. if you are downloading this version expecting all of that, then you're going to be disappointed! this is solely meant to restore CR's usual level of typesetting to the English track. --- if you're curious about the state of subtitles for each CR show every season, check out this community-run spreadsheet *(it has a Legend tab so you can get a better sense on what each of the different types mean)* and remember, tell your normie friends to **Cancel Their Crunchyroll Subscription**
