However, by the time the sessions began, the bassist was already touring with Ozzy Osbourne, and upon returning from the road, he formed a new band, Waysted. Its original lineup also included guitarist Ronnie Cayfield (ex-Heartbreakers), keyboardist Paul Raymond (ex-UFO), vocalist Finn (ex-Flying Squad), and drummer Frank Noone (ex-Stampede, Wild Horses, Def Leppard). Having signed with Chrysalis Records, the band recorded their debut album, distinguished by its powerful guitar work and Finn's whiskey-soaked vocals.
