The band's second album treads the same ground as its debut, The Sound Of '65, in a more polished but slightly less exciting manner. Some of the covers are a bit routine and hackneyed, and the original material doesn't feature as much (or as often) as on the first album. Several songs see the band shift from rave music to softer jazz ballads that maintain an R&B foundation. Highlights include the early Jack Bruce composition "Hear Me Calling Your Name" (on which he also contributes a fine vocal) and the superb Bond tune "Walkin' in the Park," which rivals the best early British R&B numbers. The album is also notable for being one of the very first rock records to feature the Mellotron, which Bond uses subtly and skillfully
